Link Popularity is a value assigned to a website based on the number of other websites that link to it.
There are many different ways to determine link popularity, but the most commonly used, and arguably the most informative, is the search engine method.
The search engine method, which this software utilizes, consists of collecting data from mainstream search engines to see how many webpages indexed by those search engines link to a particular website.
This is extremely useful information that can be applied to many different aspects of online business, for example:

is more valuable
- Tracking Link Popularity over time to determine if promotional campaigns
are generating the right results

This software makes it amazingly easy to determine your Link Popularity,your competitor's link popularity, view changes in Link Popularity over time, analyze results graphically, and find link partners to improve your overall ranking in the online marketplace.
Quick Start
This software has been preconfigured so that it can be run immediately after you have installed it with very little setup required.
Follow these easy steps to get started right away:
Step One: Enter a website you would like to check the Link Popularity of by clicking the "Add" button and typing the website URL.Click the "Ok" button and the URL will be added to your list of URLs to check.
Step Two: Enter some of your competitors URLs, or URLs of sites you consider to be "Milestone" sites. For example, the following websites could be used as milestones:
Microsoft.com - Major website linked to by millions
Rottentomatoes.com - Fairly large website that is very popular
Target.com - Well known brand name with a popular website
Coke.com - Well known brand name with a medium Link Popularity
Landcome.com - Smaller website, above average Link Popularity
KillerSound.com - Small website with average Link Popularity
Travelleap.com - Very small website, below average Link Popularity
You may load lists of URLs from a text file with one URL on each line.
You can also paste website URLs directly into the program by clicking in the URLs list and pressing Control + V (paste), or selecting FIle >> Load URL List from Clipboard. You can even paste multiple domains at a time as long as they were each on a separate line when you copied them. Many popular Expired Domain name programs allow you copy lists of Domains, and they can be pasted directly into this software.
Step Three: You don't want to have to enter all those URLs again, so click the "Save" button and save the list as a progect. Now you can load them again at any time using the "Load" button.
Step Four: Click the "Start" button. The software will immediately begin to query major search engines for websites that link to the URLs you entered and display the results. The data view shows you the number of links found on each search engine, as well as the total for all search engines.
Step Five: When the software has determined the Link Popularity of the websites you entered, click the "Chart View" tab. This will display your results in a graphical format. You can change the chart type using the drop down box.
Step Six: Now click the "Website
View" tab. This area provides quick links to each
search engine that let you see which sites that engines
lists as linking to you and contributing to your Link
Popularity ranking. Try clicking on any of the items in
the list to view the results, and follow the links to
see exactly who is linking to your site.
Step Seven: One of the most important
aspects of this software is the ability to save results
over time to see whether your Link Popularity is going
up or down. Click back to the "Data View" tab
and select your website URL in the link popularity results
list. Now click the "Save Selected" button.
If this is the first time you have saved the results for your website, go to the section labeled "Create New Save File". Type in an easy to remember name for this file (we recommend using the domain name), and click the "Save" button.
If you have previously created a save file for this site, go to the section labeled "Save into an old search result". Select your existing search result file from the drop down list and click "Ok".
Step Eight: Now click the "Chart View" tab to return to the Chart View area. Click the "Load Data" button to load your saved search results.
If you have your site's data on at least two separate days, select it from the drop down list. Otherwise, select the example file.
This will load your data into the Chart View and allow you to view changes in Link Popularity over time. Please keep in mind that, in order to view the results of your own site over time, you must save data on at least two separate days.
Use the drop down lists in the Chart View area to switch between results from different search engines and different chart styles. You can print any chart to your default printer by clicking the "Print" button.
